OnPoint Parenting is a podcast we produce for the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District Schoolboard.

 
 

Here’s a radio spot we produced for SMCDSB. Our client can use this content on the radio and in Spotify ads or other audio platforms. This video here is called an “audiogram” (where the waveform is placed over a photo). It’s easy to also share audiograms on visually-driven social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin.

It’s more important than ever to consider audio in your branding and marketing projects. Why?

Reach.

You can reach more people with audio. Whether it’s through an ad on Spotify or a full-blown podcast, audio reaches people in the moments between; working out, walking the dog, or washing the dishes are all moments for audio experiences.

Audio also helps create a cohesive brand across channels. By using the same music or sound stamp in your video campaign and radio spots, you begin to define your brand.

Gary Vaynerchuck dug into the topic of audio branding in a great article about the growing importance of what he calls “sonic branding.”

 

Audio Recording

Whether you want to record clean vocals for a Spotify ad or capture the sound of a chainsaw cutting through a tree for a video — getting a clean audio recording is where it starts. We use industry-standard audio recording equipment, like the Sennheiser MKH416 and MKH50 shotgun microphones and Sanken COS-11 lavalier microphones. Our 6 channel Zoom F6 field recorder allows us to simultaneously record 6 separate channels of audio; handy for live-streaming a group of panellists.

Sound Design

It’s not always practical to record every sound required to pull together a creative concept. When it comes time to put everything together in the editing suite, we tap into global sound libraries to help pull together the final audio or video in post-production.
